Mark Gordon And Constance Marten Baby Missing What Have They Done?

  • Mark Gordon and Constance Marten’s baby has been missing since early January.
  • The couple has been found and arrested in Brighton.
  • The police are actively looking for the baby, who is still missing.

Mark Gordon and Constance Marten’s baby has been missing since early January. The couple who went missing along with their newborn baby has now been arrested in Brighton, whereas the baby is nowhere to be found.

Mark Gordon and Constance Marten went missing, and their car was found burning on the M61 in Bolton on January 5th, 2023.

The pair were found after a sighting by a public member in the Stanmer Villas area on Monday evening.

Police had launched an “urgent search” for the baby, thought to have been just days old when they first disappeared.

The couple remains in custody and is being questioned by the Metropolitan Police.

It is presumed that the baby has not received any medical attention since birth in early January.

The force said the pair were located by officers from Sussex police in Stanmer Villas, Brighton, on Monday night after a public member reported seeing them shortly before 9.30 pm.

Marten, 35, and Gordon, 48, have been traveling around the UK by taxi since their car was found burning on the M61 in Bolton, Greater Manchester, on January 5th, 2023.

Authorities previously believed the couple had been sleeping rough in a blue tent and had avoided being traced by the police by moving around frequently and keeping their faces covered from CCTV.

The couple traveled from Bolton to Liverpool, Harwich in Essex, East London, and Newhaven in Sussex, where they were seen near the ferry port on January 8th.

Marten was a drama student when she first met Gordon in 2016. The couple led an isolated life, and in September, when Marten was well into her pregnancy, they began moving around to rental flats.

It is unknown if their baby was full-term or has any health issues.

A helicopter was up overnight scouring the search zone, while drones and police dogs have also been deployed.

Residents are being asked to check sheds and other outhouses and to report anything unusual.

Since the time Marten conceived her baby, the couple adopted a nomadic lifestyle and kept moving around the country.

The authorities believe Marten gave birth to her baby in or near the car a day or two before they went missing.

It was noted that the couple had been trying to hide their faces from the CCTV cameras the entire time they were traveling.

The incident was pre-planned, as the couple was thought to be carrying considerable cash and using camping equipment to live off-grid.
